Jasper Owen is a fourth-year architecture student at Cornell University in Ithaca, New York, expected to graduate with a B.Arch. in May 2026. He grew up and went to school in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and Rochester, New York. His schoolwork and research focuses largely on material circularity, healthy free space, and providing means for improving underserved communities, through design practice.
Although he is studying architecture, he is similarly passionate about construction, art and product design practice and their intersections.
Jasper has worked summer internships for atelier RZLBD in Toronto and VMX Architects in Amsterdam, and has worked construction on projects for multiple labs at Cornell University. He has been consistently employed by the Circular Construction lab as a research assistant since March of 2023, and his studies have and efforts have given him placement in week-long workshops with Corning Museum of Glass in Corning New York, and Slum Dwellers International and UN Habitat in Nairobi, Kenya.
